Team Solent Kestrels are excited to welcome back former fan favourite Andre Arissol to the club for the 2024/25 season. Arissol formerly suited up for the Kestrels back in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, where he helped Kestrels to back to back league and playoff titles, whilst also securing the L Lynch Trophy and National Cup.

The Northampton native came through the Charnwood Riders programme before heading to college in the United States where he would play at the JUCO level for Otero College and then in NCAA II at Chaminade University. Dre signed with TSK out of college and would then go onto to spend a season at both Worthing Thunder and MK Breakers, before sitting out the back end of last season with a knee injury.

Whilst with Kestrels previous Arissol picked up the Defensive Player of the Year award for the 20/21 NBL Divison 1 season whilst also being named to the British Team of the Year. The sharpshooting, defensive specialist will look to bring his wealth of experience back to the south coast as Kestrels look to go one better in NBL Division 2, much to the delight of the Kestrels Family!

Coach Guymon was ecstatic to welcome Andre back to the programme, "We are delighted to have been able to bring Andre back to the club after two season away. He was a huge part of our success in Division 1 and a real positive influence on our winning culture, that we hope he is able to bring with this group. Not only is Andre a high level talent on the floor but his high character and professionalism off the court, means his connection with the staff and supporters is second to none. We are looking forward to having him back on the floor at the SSC."

There are still more signings to be announced this week, so stay tuned for the rest of the squad news.
